T & C’s Agreement
General Terms & Conditions
These General Terms & Conditions apply to all enrolments at Bluesalt Swim School. By enrolling a child at Bluesalt, the parent or guardian acknowledges and agrees to the following terms.
1.Enrolment
- Enrolments are confirmed only once an active Direct Debit Agreement, full payment, or the required deposit for the following term has been received by the end of the current term.
- Direct Debit clients will be charged on the last Wednesday of the school holidays for the first fortnightly or monthly pay cycle of the new term, in accordance with their agreed payment arrangement.
- All enrolment forms, required information and payment arrangements must be completed prior to the student’s first lesson.
- Enrolments are subject to class availability and appropriate class placement.
- Bluesalt reserves the right to place students in the class level considered most appropriate for their age, ability, confidence and skill development.
2. Attendance and Make-Up Lessons
- Each student is entitled to up to two make-up lessons per term as a courtesy.
- Make-up lessons must be booked and completed within the same term as the missed lesson.
- Make-up lessons are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
- All absences and make-up lessons must be recorded and booked through the Customer Portal and cannot be arranged through office administration.
- Missed lessons, unclaimed make-ups, holidays affecting attendance and expired make-ups are not eligible for credits or refunds.
- Requests for consideration of a credit due to extended medical circumstances must be submitted in writing to [email protected] and accompanied by a medical certificate. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not automatically approved.

3. Cancellations
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected] at least two weeks prior to the cancellation taking effect.
- Lessons falling within the two-week notice period may continue to be attended as normal and remain payable.
- Cancellations received after the end of term will incur a $51 cancellation fee.
- Cancelling or removing a Direct Debit payment authority does not, by itself, cancel an enrolment or remove any outstanding payment obligations.

4.Fees and Discounts
Sibling Discounts
Sibling discounts apply as follows:
- 1st child: Full fee
- 2nd child: 5% discount
- 3rd and subsequent children: 30% discount
- Discounts apply to eligible siblings enrolled at the same time and are applied in order from the highest applicable fee.
- Discounts do not apply retrospectively unless agreed by Bluesalt management.
5. Payment Options
Payments may be made via:
- Fortnightly or Monthly Direct Debit
- Online bank transfer, using the details provided on the invoice or Customer Portal
- Online credit card payment via the Customer Portal
- In person at the office during lesson times
- All fees must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment arrangement.
- Accounts must remain up to date to maintain enrolment and access to lessons.
- Additional payment or transaction fees may apply depending on the payment method. Further details are outlined in the Direct Debit Terms & Conditions.
6. Punctuality and Arrival
- Students should arrive with enough time to prepare for their lesson and be ready to enter the pool at the scheduled lesson time.
- Students arriving late may have reduced lesson time, as lessons cannot be extended beyond their scheduled finish time.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for collecting children promptly at the conclusion of their lesson.
- Children must remain under parent/guardian supervision before and after their lesson.
7. Supervision and Safety
- Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children while they are at the centre, including in reception, change rooms and other non-teaching areas.
- Children must not be left unattended anywhere within the centre.
- Children must remain out of the pool unless under the direct instruction and supervision of a Bluesalt swimming teacher.
- Parents/guardians and students must follow all reasonable safety instructions provided by Bluesalt staff.
- Parents/guardians must not allow children to run around the pool area or engage in behaviour that may create a safety risk.
- Children who are not fully toilet trained must wear an approved aqua/swim nappy during lessons.
- Children aged 6 years and over are not permitted to use the opposite-sex change rooms without prior approval from management.
- Any centre-specific parking, entry, drop-off or access procedures must be followed at all times.
- Bluesalt reserves the right to address any behaviour or safety concern that may place a child, family, staff member or other swimmer at risk.
8. Health, Medical Conditions and Additional Needs
- Parents/guardians must provide Bluesalt with accurate and up-to-date information regarding any medical condition, allergy, injury, disability, additional need or other circumstance that may affect a child’s participation in swimming lessons.
- Bluesalt should be notified of any relevant changes as soon as reasonably possible.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that children attend lessons in a condition suitable for participation.
- Children who are unwell or displaying symptoms of a contagious illness should not attend swimming lessons.
- In particular, children experiencing vomiting, diarrhoea, fever or other symptoms that may affect their ability to safely participate should remain at home.
- If a child becomes unwell or is unable to safely participate, Bluesalt may ask the child not to enter the pool or to leave the lesson.
9. Swimwear and Equipment
- Students must wear appropriate swimwear suitable for swimming lessons.
- Goggles are highly recommended from Beginner 1 through to Squad levels.
- Children who are not fully toilet trained must wear an approved aqua/swim nappy.
- Students should bring a towel and any required swimming equipment to each lesson.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children have the appropriate equipment and swimwear for their lesson.
10.Class Placement, Teachers and Timetables
- Bluesalt aims to provide consistency of teacher, class and lesson time throughout the year; however, changes may occasionally be necessary.
- Bluesalt reserves the right to change teachers, class groupings, lesson times, levels or pool arrangements where reasonably required for operational, safety or student-development reasons.
- Children may be moved to a different level or class when Bluesalt considers this appropriate for their skill development and safety.
- Parents/guardians will be contacted where a significant change to a child’s regular class is required.
- Lesson times and class availability may change from term to term.
11. Photography, Video and Privacy
- Photography or video recording during lessons requires prior approval from Bluesalt management.
- Parents/guardians must not photograph or record other children, families or staff without appropriate consent.
- Bluesalt may photograph or record lessons or activities for operational, training, promotional or social media purposes where appropriate consent has been obtained.
- Personal information will be handled in accordance with Bluesalt’s applicable privacy practices and requirements.
12. Behaviour and Respect
- Bluesalt is committed to providing a safe, positive and respectful environment for children, families and staff.
- Parents, guardians and children are expected to treat Bluesalt staff, teachers and other families with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Aggressive, abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Students are expected to follow reasonable instructions from swimming teachers and Bluesalt staff.
- Bluesalt may take appropriate action, including reviewing or suspending an enrolment, where behaviour creates a safety concern or significantly impacts staff, students or other families.
13. Lost Property
- Parents/guardians and students are responsible for their personal belongings while at the centre.
- Bluesalt does not accept responsibility for lost, damaged or unattended personal belongings.
- Lost property found at the centre will be retained for a reasonable period before being disposed of or donated.
14. Centre Closures and Changes
- Bluesalt may temporarily close or alter lessons due to circumstances including maintenance, pool or facility issues, emergencies, severe weather, government requirements or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.
- Where reasonably possible, families will be notified of significant changes or closures.
- Bluesalt will determine any make-up, credit or alternative arrangement that may apply in circumstances where lessons are cancelled by Bluesalt, subject to applicable consumer rights and the circumstances involved.
15. Emergency Contact
- Parents/guardians must provide at least one current emergency contact for each enrolled student.
- Emergency contact and other relevant information must be kept up to date through the Customer Portal or by notifying Bluesalt administration.
- Parents/guardians should ensure that emergency contacts are available and authorised to be contacted if required.
16. Suspension or Termination of Enrolment
- Bluesalt may suspend or terminate an enrolment where there are serious or repeated breaches of these Terms & Conditions, unpaid fees, significant safety concerns or unacceptable behaviour.
- Where appropriate, Bluesalt will communicate with the parent/guardian before taking such action.
- Any outstanding fees or other payment obligations remain payable following termination, subject to applicable consumer rights.
17. Changes to Terms & Conditions
- Bluesalt may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to services, operations, fees, legal requirements or other circumstances.
- Where a change materially affects an existing enrolment or payment obligation, Bluesalt will provide reasonable notice where required.
- Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
18. Parent/Guardian Responsibility
Parents and guardians are responsible for:
- Keeping contact, medical and emergency information current.
- Ensuring children arrive on time and are appropriately prepared for lessons.
- Ensuring children are fit and well enough to participate in swimming lessons.
- Providing appropriate swimwear, goggles and other required equipment.
- Following Bluesalt’s safety, parking, entry and centre procedures.
- Following reasonable instructions provided by Bluesalt teachers and staff.
- Recording absences and booking make-up lessons through the Customer Portal.
- Maintaining payments in accordance with their agreed payment arrangement.
- Reading and complying with Bluesalt’s applicable Terms & Conditions and policies.
19. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling a child at Bluesalt Swim School, the parent or guardian confirms that they have read, understood and agree to these General Terms & Conditions, together with the applicable Direct Debit Terms & Conditions and Make-Up Lessons & Absence Terms & Conditions.
